Environmental Principles
The Elpida Memory Group is committed to preserving the environment for future generations by utilizing technology that is fully compatible with our ecosystem. This vision of a thriving, healthy environment will enable people throughout the world to prosper as they pursue their goals and dreams.
Action Guidelines
Elpida employees pledge to respect and preserve the environment in Elpida business operations. A key management objective is to insure that this respect and preservation is appropriately supported and continuously improved.
 
Our green procurement system supports the production of ecoproducts designed to meet all relevant environmental requirements in response to the needs of an advanced IT society. This includes conserving the mineral and energy resources that form part of the earth's ecosystem and insuring public safety throughout the life cycle of our products. Eco Products Eco Factories We aim continuously to improve the level of our environmental management by cooperating with industrial and scientific associations, as well as governmental and non-governmental organizations, to identify and implement our own proactive internal regulations and methodologies. This will help ensure that we meet or exceed applicable laws and regulations prescribed by federal and local governments. We will do this in a positive spirit and convey our environmental activities to all stakeholders, including our customers, communities and other concerned parties.
Our factories will contribute to sustaining a healthy environment by utilizing new and innovative technologies for materials, processes and recycling. We will develop eco-technologies that target waste and pollution reduction by using the most effective recycling and safe disposal methods available. We will accomplish this on a global basis by emphasizing management of all facets of activities related to the consumption of water and energy at each stage of design, fabrication, logistics and final disposition. Environmental Regulations & Communications Environmental Management System The Elpida Memory Group has established an environmental management system that complies with ISO 14001 requirements. We also aim to implement appropriate improvement activities throughout the company as part of our commitment to supporting a sustainable environment and society.
