Elpida Memory Announces Auditor Nominations
TOKYO, JAPAN, May 29, 2009 – Elpida Memory, Inc. (Elpida), Japan's leading global supplier of Dynamic Random Access Memory (DRAM), today nominated two candidates for auditor positions in accordance with a decision taken by the Board of Directors. The nominations are subject to the final approval of the Ordinary General Shareholders' Meeting scheduled for June 29, 2009.

- Currently Corporate Auditor of Elpida Memory.
Masamitsu Nakayama (to be newly appointed)
- Formerly Senior Executive Editor of Japan Servo Co., Ltd.
Note: Mr. Masamitsu Nakayama has been nominated as a substitute for Mr. Tokuo Yamamoto, who is resigning before his term of office expires. Mr. Nakayama will serve during the remaining period of Mr. Yamamoto's term. In addition, Mr. Nakayama's nomination satisfies the qualification requirements for outside corporate auditor as described in the Companies Act under Japanese law.
