Rexchip earns the "Annual Enterprises Environmental Protection Award"
HOULI, TAIWAN, November 11, 2009 – Rexchip Electronics is a leading DRAM manufacturer in Taiwan. Its 300mm fabrication facility utilities the most advanced technology to provide high density and high performance DRAM.
Rexchip firmly believes that we can maintain a safe and healthy working environment and create a better quality of life for our employees and the community. We continuously stress the importance of improving the safety and health of our employees, pollution prevention, environmental friendliness, and green-manufacturing production as critical philosophies of the company's management. As a result of the above efforts, Rexchip received the "2009 Annual Award for Outstanding Performance Waste Disposal, Resource Minimization, Reuse and Recycling" from Environmental Protection Administration (EPA) on October 2009, and then was honored with the "18th Annual Enterprises Environmental Protection Award" on November. Rexchip is the only DRAM manufacturer who has earned this honorable award in 2009.
Ever since the construction of our first 12" fabrication facility, Rexchip has continuously invested in environmental protection equipment in order to improve the efficiency of waste treatment and pollution prevention. We have earned ISO14001, OHSAS18001, TOSHMS and Greenhouse Gases Emissions Verification. Furthermore the promotion of public awareness of the importance of environmental protection is one the company's highest priorities.
Rexchip not only complies with EPA regulations but also follows international standards to implement diverse control systems efficiently. These control systems include ESHCA (Environmental & Safety & Health cost Accounting), chemical management system, green supply chain management system and so on. Moreover, designing green products, developing cleaner production processes, preventing pollution and reusing resources have been continuously ongoing at Rexchip. In the past we have earned several important environmental protection awards, such as the "2008 Outstanding Water Saving Award" from the Ministry of Economic Affairs and the "2008 Green Environment Award" from the Central Taiwan Science Park Administration Bureau.
