Rexchip Announces Successful Pilot Run of Elpida's 40nm 2Gb DDR3

Houli, Taiwan, August 12, 2010 – Rexchip Electronics Inc. (4932) today, announced it has successfully completed pilot run of Elpida's 40nm 2Gb DDR3 product. Pilot run results for Elpida's 40nm process have met expectations and 100% migration remains on schedule.

Rexchip President and Spokesmen Mr. Stephen Chen, stated that currently Rexchip has already two immersion scanners successfully installed and expects to have the remaining tools installed before November of this year. This will allow Rexchip to maintain its original plan of complete migration to Elpida's 40nm process by the end of the year with a monthly capacity of 80,000 wafers producing the mainstream product 2Gb DDR3.
