XDR DRAM target market and the development strategy of Elpida
XDR DRAM was adopted in the Sony PLAYSTATION3 and high performance server, and it will expand the application field such as graphics and so on. Elpida has been in production with 512Mb XDR DRAM from last year. Furthermore we are going to introduce faster versions, i.e. 4.0GHz and 4.8GHz.
In this session, I explain about the target market of XDR DRAM and the development strategy of Elpida.

And then we will compare high-performance DRAMs, including DDR2, DDR3, GDDR3 and XDR. Finally, Elpida will offer optimal DRAM solutions to advanced digital consumer electronic systems including HDTV, Multimedia projector and game console.
