Elpida Memory completed the development of next-generation 512Mb DDR3 SDRAM for computing applications such as notebooks, desktop PCs and servers in August, 2005. The new DDR3 architecture features high-speed data transfer of up to 1333Mbps, double the speed of the DDR2 architecture currently in volume production.

Elpida's DDR2 SDRAM achieves a data transfer rate of up to 1066Mbps, doubling the data transfer rate of DDR400, with lower power consumption than DDR.
DDR2 SDRAM realizes high speed, high density and low power for a high-performance system.
Elpida Memory is enhancing its lineup of DDR SDRAM, a next-generation memory product that has captured the industry's attention for its high-speed 2-data I/O per clock capability. This lineup now includes high-capacity 128 Mbit to 1G bit DDR SDRAMs featuring data transfer speeds of 266Mbps to 400Mbps.
Elpida Memory's extensive lineup of 133 MHz, 166 MHz SDRAM products, giving Elpida the edge in a market driven by increased demands for higher speed and capacity. Development of a high-density SDRAM using fine process technology, Elpida Memory customers now have the ideal solution at their fingertips.
Mobile applications such as cellular phones and PDAs are beginning to process larger amounts of data, including streaming video, due to the explosive growth of the Internet and the performance increases of wireless communications. Such circumstances increase the need for fast, high-capacity RAM that consumes less power, and are the driving factors behind Elpida's application-specific Mobile RAM™.
Ahead of the field, Elpida Memory is extensively promoting the development of XDR DRAM. The competitive edge gained by Elpida Memory's advanced technological and production capabilities enables us to take a leading share in the XDR market.
